SOLID COLOR EPOXY
Our Solid color epoxy floor is a 3 coat system which utilizes a combination of a vapor/moisture barrier, 100% solids industrial grade epoxy, and a pigmented or clear polyaspartic topcoat. It is well suited for garages, factories, kitchens and areas that require superior stain resistance and a high level of durability. There are over 24 custom colors. An aluminum oxide or traction additive can be used to increase slip resistance. The final result is a durable floor that shines!

FLAKE EPOXY SYSTEM
Our flake epoxy floor is a 3 coat system which utilizes a pigmented vapor/moisture as the prime coat, a broadcasted acrylic flake with a 100% coverage rate as the decorative coat, and a polyaspartic topcoat which promotes excellent stain resistance and amazing durability. This floor is tough as nails and will provide years of protection with minimum maintenance.
QUARTZ EPOXY SYSTEM
Our quartz epoxy floor is a double broadcast double top coat system(4 coats). This system utilizes quartz aggregate which significantly increases the epoxy strength, acting as a binder for supreme durability. We also use a 100% pigmented epoxy, finished with a 2 coat polyaspartic top coat system. This system is great for kitchens and bathrooms and other high traffic areas requiring extreme durability with an amazing look.

Our metallic epoxy is a 3 coat system consiststing of a vapor/moisture barrier, metallic (beauty) coat, and a polyaspartic/urethane topcoat. This system is designed to give your area a unique "look" by making your concrete look like marble. There is unlimited potential when working with metallics and every single floor becomes a work of art.

ADVANTAGES OF EPOXY FLOORS
Epoxy coatings will create a shiny, high gloss surface. The brightness of an area with epoxy floors will increase by 200%
Durable and easy to clean. Resists oil stains, beads water, wipes clean and create a seamless surface
Epoxy offers a hard wearing durable surface able to withstand heavy and continuous traffic.
HOW IMPORTANT IS FLOOR PREP?
The short answer: Proper floor prep is crucial!
You may have read the back of an "epoxy" paint can at Home depot, and if you can recall, it said to "etch" the surface" then "rinse". The truth is, this method is NOT the ideal method to prep for concrete coatings. This is only recommended because most customers do not own a grinder, and because of that "etching" is the only way for them to approve selling there product. Its a gimmick!
The truth is: Concrete must reach a "CSP" - concrete surface profile- of 2 or 3. What's that mean? Here is some picture below with a quick run down. Hover over picture for more info.
Concrete Surface Profile 2
-
Typical of mechanical diamond grinding with 16 or 25 grit tooling
-
Appropriate for use with thin-mil and high build coatings
-
May require the use of low-viscosity primers
-
SF: We utilize this CSP for most residential projects (garage floors and basements) as well as commercial and light industrial floor coatings.
HOW IMPORTANT IS CLEANLINESS?
When doing an epoxy coating, or painting a concrete surface, cleanliness is KEY to proper adhesion. When cleaning a concrete floor in preparation for epoxy or an industrial coating, we use a solvent cleaner which binds with the dust and removes the small film left after vacuuming. If the concrete floor is only vacuumed, a small film of dust is left on the floor, ultimately creating a barrier between the coating and the floor. THIS IS A BOND BREAKER! At TCCP, our team members are trained to not only properly prep, but clean, and prep surrounding areas. Once the project has been prepped, its time to lay the new industrial coating.
Concrete Surface Profile 3
-
Typical of a light shot blast (sometimes referred to as a “brush blast”)
-
Appropriate for use with coatings with over 60 MILS (dry film thickness) of build
-
Not appropriate for thinner coatings such as solid color or metallic epoxy coatings
-
SF: We utilize this CSP when needing to remove contaminated surfaces and coatings with over 60 MILS DFT.
